Message from the President

Dear TEFL Grads,

I hope this letter finds each of you savoring the warmth of a new summer. For those of you who survived this past Boston winter with us, we've earned the warmth.

Having recently enrolled its 500th trainee, the TEFL Certificate Program continues to grow and change and grow through change. Those who were privileged to work with Program Coordinator Allyson Kelly over the past two years will understand our sadness at her departure from the Institute. She gave to the program from her heart, shone her special light on each of us and leaves us the better for the experience. We wish her Godspeed as she embarks on a new phase of a promising life.

We are nonetheless delighted to have Catherine Rogerson join the TEFL Certificate Program as Program Coordinator. One of the unanticipated benefits of the now four-year-old program is the number of graduates who come to work at the Institute and make a lasting contribution, to date dozens as language teachers and several as full-time staff. Catherine now joins their number, and all of us at the Institute look forward to the pleasure of working with her.

It's gratifying to hear from those of you who've written to share your experiences; we read and cherish each letter and look forward to hearing from even more of you.

God bless each of you...and remember where you heard it first: this is the year the Red Sox win the World Series!
